Some very talented students participated in the 2019 Da Vinci Fest Art Fair, showing their gifts to the Stillwater area community.
The winners have been invited to display their art in a special show at the ArtGuild Gallery in downtown Stillwater from Jan. 19 to Feb. 14. A reception to honor the students will be held on Jan. 25 from 5 to 7 p.m.
The Da Vinci Fest Art Fair, hosted by The Partnership Plan and Stillwater Area Public Schools, is open to all students who live within the boundaries of Stillwater Area Public Schools. The event is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 4, and Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019, at Stillwater Area High School. Da Vinci Fest is a platform for art that highlights student art, representing all forms of media.
The artists’ work will be displayed at a ‘gallery style’ art reception on Friday evening. This reception is for friends and family of the artists. On Saturday the art will be on display for the general public from 1 to 5 p.m.
Students in 9th through 12th grade may elect to be judged in the Senior High Category. A Grand Champion will be awarded to this age grouping, as well as medals for 1st and 2nd place in each of the art media categories. Students wishing merely to have their work on display (non-judged) will receive a participation certificate.
Students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades may elect to have their work judged in the Middle School Category. A Grand Champion will be awarded to this age grouping, as well as medals for 1st and 2nd place in each of the art media categories. Students merely wishing to have their work on display (non-judged) will receive a participation certificate.
All 4th and 5th grade students may participate in the Elementary exhibition category. This art will not be judged, but all artists will receive a participation certificate.

Students are encouraged to begin their independent art creation(s) as soon as possible! Projects that have been previously displayed at Da Vinci Fest are not eligible for entry.
