Da Vinci Fest Student Science Fair

Science students showed their smarts to the Stillwater community on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019.

List of Student winners of Da Vinci Fest


Da Vinci Fest, hosted by The Partnership Plan and Stillwater Area Public Schools, is open to all students who live within the boundaries of School District 834, no matter where they go to school.

Fourth and 5th grade students may enter as Elementary participants, and will be judged as exhibition (non-competition) participants. All 4th and 5th graders will receive a participation certificate.

Students in 6th, 7th and 8th grade will be judged in the Middle School Category. A Grand Champion, First and Second place will be awarded to this age grouping, as will medals in each of the scientific categories.

Students in 9th through 12th grade will be judged in the Senior High Category. A Grand Champion, First and Second place will be awarded to this age grouping, as will medals in each of the scientific categories.

The categories are:

Astronomy, Physics & Earth Sciences

Behavior, Consumer & Social Sciences

Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Health & Medicine

Chemistry

Engineering, Energy & Transportation

Math, Computer Science & Technology

Plant & Animal Science

Winning students in grades 6 through 12 will have the chance to proceed on to the Twin Cities Regional Science Fair. Judges’ comments and scoring at Da Vinci Fest are intended to help participants achieve greater success at those levels. Students are encouraged to begin their independent research as soon as possible.
