Meet the Team
Heidi Louise, Executive Director
Heidi believes that learning happens everywhere — in classrooms, libraries, neighborhood spaces, nature, and the everyday moments that spark curiosity and connection. As Executive Director of The Partnership Plan since June 2026, she brings more than 15 years of experience in nonprofit work with a career dedicated to organizations that help people learn, grow, and discover.
Before joining The Partnership Plan, Heidi held roles with Dodge Nature Center and Preschool, the Minnesota Zoo Foundation, and the University of Minnesota Libraries. Throughout her career, she has focused on building relationships, improving systems, and aligning resources with meaningful educational impact.
A former member of The Partnership Plan Board of Directors, Heidi brings both organizational knowledge and a deep commitment to the mission. She is passionate about fostering partnerships that help students explore new interests, pursue their potential, and experience the joy of learning.
Heidi lives in the Stillwater Area Public School District with her husband (a band teacher in another district) and their young child. And yes, for those wondering: Heidi’s first name is Heidi and her last name is Louise :-)
Sara Martin, Program and Communications Manager
After nearly 15 years of working in nonprofits in Minneapolis and St Paul, Sara jumped at the opportunity to put her skills and expertise in the areas of volunteer and program management, grant management, and data analysis to work for The Partnership Plan.
Having grown up in central Minnesota and graduating from the College of St. Benedict, Sara has a strong sense of community and a desire to make a difference. Throughout her career, she has been actively involved in various nonprofits, working with crime victims and former offenders, and even running an AmeriCorps program.
Her favorite part about working for The Partnership Plan is collaborating with teachers and district staff to bring new ideas and experiences to life across the district. And just like many students in the district, Sara’s favorite event of the year is DaVinci Fest.
