Historical Society looking for SAHS Newspapers

The Washington County Historical Society (WCHS) has asked for help with a microfilming project for copies of The Pony Express- Stillwater High School's newspaper.

As you might be aware, the Stillwater Area High School newspaper is the oldest published high school newspaper in Minnesota. The paper, which started out as The Arrow, first was published in booklet form in 1906.

The Washington County Historical Society is in need of several decades of past school newspapers.  They are working with the school to locate copies in the building, but they have also contacted the Partnership Plan for help since we have contact with many alums.

If you have issues of past high school newspapers, please connect with Brent from WCHS directly:

Four covers of the Stillwater Pony Express over the decades.

Additionally, if you are a Stillwater alum, we have the ability to send out emails to large numbers of people. If you are an alum who has a list of all members of your class, please send us your class list so that we can reach out to them with this Historical Society's request for help. Hopefully we can get many responses and help the WCHS with this project to preserve our high school information and memories.
